THE TYPES OF LOADS
Traditional Load Boards: These load boards are common places where truckers, freight brokers, and shippers may exchange details about loads, capacities, and destinations.
LTL Load Boards: LTL is an acronym for less than truckload on load board sites. This term refers to any cargo that isn’t big enough to fill a trailer by itself and will thus probably be combined with other cargo. This type of load is what most hot shot trucker use because of the weight limits and the size of the trailer they are using to haul the shipments.
Direct from the Shippers: Some companies or businesses will call to have the hot shot driver pick up the load at the facility or warehouse of the company or business this is not unusual at all. This cuts out the middle person or broker that gets a percentage of the earnings paid by the driver.
Freight brokers: Is a company of salespeople that serves as the middle person between the shipper and the driver for the loads. They are the ones that finds loads for the driver so it will make it easier for the driver to find loads instead of hunting them down themselves.
DIFFERENT LOADBOARD COMPANIES
Depending on what type of load you would like to haul there is different ones depending on the types, size of trailers and how much you can legally haul.
